It has been a busy week so far visiting the Graduation Festival of the Jazz Department of the Maastricht Conservatory at the Maastricht Muziekgieterij. Tonight saw a wonderful set by my friend and double bass player Julien Fraipont and his sextet performing his wonderful original Hard Bop compositions. Check him out on June 10 at the Horse's Tale in Hasselt when he plays in my trio together with drummer Kris Duerinckx.
